GRP Enclosures
At the Eldapoint Group, innovation meets reliability in GRP enclosure design and manufacturing. GRP, fibreglass or Glass Reinforced Plastic, is a composite material woven from fibreglass and high-performance resins, giving it durability, versatility, and aesthetic appeal.
Built for low maintenance, flexibility and durability, our GRP enclosures come in a wide choice of sizes, shapes, and configurations. Popular enclosure applications include electrical equipment and switchgear, communications network housing and power supply. Whether you need a compact shelter for a telecom cabinet or a spacious walk-in control room, we have the perfect fit.
GRP Enclosure Product Range
Looking for a practical alternative to steel housings to protect and store electrical and other critical equipment? GRP is corrosion and weather-resistant, which makes it a perfect material for most indoor or outdoor applications. It is a popular alternative to metal due to its non-conductive characteristics. A GRP fibreglass enclosure can resist UV light, extreme temperatures, salt air and chemicals. It’s often viewed as a more cost-effective alternative to stainless steel when there is a requirement for corrosion-resistant units and chemically inert properties.
Contact UsWe supply a wide selection of GRP enclosures with customisable features such as load or non-load bearing floors, forced or natural ventilation, locking systems, finishes and lighting. GRP enclosures built to protect
Our GRP enclosures are designed to endure the harshest environmental conditions and protect against UV rays, extreme temperatures and moisture. This construction makes them ideal for outdoor installations, ensuring your equipment remains protected in all weather conditions. Unlike metal, GRP fibreglass is immune to rust and corrosion, even in salty coastal environments.
As well as the protection from the elements, it’s essential to have a solid locking mechanism to prevent unauthorised access and vandalism.

GRP enclosures built to perform
One of the key advantages of GRP enclosures is their low maintenance requirements. Our enclosures need minimal upkeep, reducing the overall cost of ownership and ensuring hassle-free operation.
GRP’s natural insulating properties keep your equipment at optimal operating temperatures in Winter and Summer. Its sound-dampening qualities make it suitable for noisy generators, pumps or compressors.

GRP enclosures built for a better future
GRP isn’t just tough on the outside; it’s gentle on the planet. Unlike traditional metal-based products, GRP fibreglass is:
- Long-lasting and durable: Unlike its steel counterpart, GRP does not corrode or rust, and so typically has a longer lifespan.
- Glass fibre production requires less energy, the curing process is exothermic (gives off heat), which means the energy consumption per unit produced is relatively low.
- Glass fibre structures are light, meaning less energy is required for transport and assembly.
- The resin used to make GRP is derived from a by-product of refined crude oil, although a large number of associated raw materials can now be sourced from bio-sustainable sources.
- GRP doesn’t require environmentally harmful finishing operations, such as hot-dip galvanising, painting, or other preservation methods, to guarantee its service life.
